Try Something New
My brain keeps trying to see this as the end of an era… After all I’ve been Mr UrbanVox for the best part of 5 years now and all of sudden I become something else… But then again, there is this little part of me that thinks logically and that part of me says that for something to make any sense at all this something needs to evolve and change – Im sure I said before that change is the only constant in life didin’t I??? – and become something else… something better…
So yeah… Maybe this is the end of an era… But it is definitely be beginning of a new one… It’s time to try something new… And this something new comes as UrbanVox turns full circle into what was meant to be from the start…
You see… about 5 years ago I’ve traced some plans, registered a domain and started doing Night Life photos and publishing them on the internet in this website I had just created. And for some time it was good… At some point I had around 50k hits/month which is WAY more than I ever got as a blogger… But that wasn’t what I wanted…
The thing is: There is so much more to Urban Life than just the night life… and I wanted to portray that as best as I could, but life doesn’t really go as we plan and suddenly – And I’m still not sure how that come to happen – I became a daddy blogger… In all honesty it was the best thing that could have happened when it did and I loved it… But … I still secretly dreamed of having that website showing the best there is about life in London Town.
So… That’s where the new beginning bit comes to be…. The UrbanVox HQ is now officially evolving into a full fledged Electronic Magazine covering a whole lot of subjects like Music, Films, Event Reviews, Food, Sex, Parenting, Adventures, Fashion through the eyes of our amazing crew of Bloggers I’ve been putting together for the past month or so – If you are interested in joining up, please give me a shout on Twitter of email at yuri@urbanvox.net. I’ve also been preparing some awesome video content produced exclusively for UrbanVox.Net.
If you are one of the old faithful followers of my blog, don’t fret… I’m still blogging giving my very personal view of things on life.urbanvox.net and twitting @DadOfTheMonkeys as well as keeping @UrbanVox as active as it has ever been… Just… Separating things a little bit. 
Something new is coming up! So please stay tuned and watch this space as we run our testdrives loading some brand new content and gun for the official release of the e-mag in August 2012 with loads of adventures and other things.
And of course… Carpe Diem… Because life is sooooo repetitive… But it is our DUTY to make it FUN!!!!

Sounds like something that’s been done before…
We are at a day and age where everything on the face of the earth has been done before…
Now…
The way you do it is what counts.
This sounds an awful lot like a website I used to write for – BrewDrinkingThinkings – which I’m sure you must know about considering an ex of yours was one of their writers too…
I know the website you are on about.
And nope… it is nothing like it… I’ve taken precautions so it works in a complete different way than BDT did… And believe me… I’ve had an insight on how it works, not from my ex but by other 3 people that wrote for them too.
For a start it’s not focusing on a feminine audience as a main target… Far from it if I am to be more precise.
And I am also taking precautions so that the articles there don’t mirror BDT’s…
But by all means… don’t take my word for it. Wait and see…
Wow… 3 people that wrote for BDT that “know how it works”. The majority of the bloggers and writers that wrote for us didn’t know enough about BDT to know how it works so your insight won’t be as credible as you’re hoping it is.
I’m intrigued to see how long it will last. Wonder how long it’ll be before one of your bloggers has a big wobbler or nicks off with competition prizes?
In any case… Different target, Different way to market the site, different way to approach the bloggers working on it, , different rewards scheme… And most of wall… Different management style…
As I told Caz… wait and see…
Just a quick comment and then I won’t talk about it anymore… this site has NOTHING to do with BDT… And no… I have no idea what happened to them. Different site, different bloggers etc… nooooowww… as I said… let’s try something new… and something new it will be.

Congrats on the new direction! I recently made a similar change in my blogging life, and it’s been amazing! We know each other from my days blogging travel on JustinWasHere.com – It’s been a long time, amigo! About 6 months ago, I gathered a crew of other travel bloggers and friends and I launched WorldTravelBuzz.com – similar to your new venture, I wanted to branch out, and bring some fresh and talented brains into the mix.
